Breizh Asia

Run, walk and act for species conservation

Every year, ZooParc de Trégemeur organises the Breizh Asia, a day dedicated to sport, sharing and the protection of biodiversity. Created in 2018, this event has a strong objective: to raise funds for associations committed to the conservation of endangered species.

A unique route at the heart of the ZooParc

The routes pass through the ZooParc itself and give participants access to areas usually closed to the public, including the upper part of the park, nicknamed the old zoo.

With its natural paths, pronounced relief and elevation changes, the route is a true challenge for nature running enthusiasts.

On the programme

Events for all ages

5km Race A challenge accessible at your own pace.
10km Race For nature running enthusiasts.
Children's races 3 races dedicated to the youngest participants.
Hike With a treasure hunt to discover local fauna and flora.

A food refreshment stand and a free face-painting stand for children registered for the event round off the day.

Running for a good cause

All registration fees are donated to associations working for the conservation of endangered species.
Present throughout the day, they meet with participants and visitors to present their work, raise public awareness and offer various activities.

A friendly and committed day

Each edition brings together between 400 and 500 participants, as well as several hundred supporters who come to cheer on the runners.
With family, friends or colleagues, the Breizh Asia combines sport, nature, discovery and solidarity.

A solidarity event

All funds raised through registrations are donated to the ZooParc’s partner associations, who work in the field to protect endangered animal species. By taking part in the Breizh Asia, you directly contribute to supporting their conservation efforts.

Conservation walk

From 2:00pm to 5:00pm, set off on an immersive 5 km walk around the old zoo site. A treasure hunt accompanies the route and allows you to discover local fauna and flora as well as biodiversity, while having fun as a family. The route follows natural paths. Remember to wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Activities and encounters

All children registered for the event benefit from a free face-painting stand, to transform themselves into their favourite animal. The beneficiary associations are present throughout the day with their information stands to interact with participants and visitors, raise public awareness of their work and offer goodies for sale to support their projects.

Hours and access:

Day’s schedule:

The 5 and 10 km races cross through the ZooParc grounds and allow participants to discover areas usually closed to the public, including the upper part of the park, nicknamed the old zoo. An optional obstacle course section is integrated into the route. Each participant is free to take on the challenge or go around it.

The races take place along the park’s pathways, which are marked out and reserved for the events. Visiting the ZooParc is therefore not possible during the morning. The ticket office at the usual ZooParc rates opens from 2:00 pm.

Courses through nature: The Breizh Asia routes cross through the ZooParc grounds as well as areas usually closed to the public, including the upper part of the park, nicknamed the old zoo. The routes include natural paths, terrain variations and elevation changes. Some sections may therefore present greater difficulties.

Each participant is invited to adapt their pace to their physical abilities and to respect the markings and the organisation’s instructions. An optional obstacle zone: An obstacle course section is integrated into the adult race route. This zone is optional: everyone is free to take on the challenge or go around it.

The Conservation Walk follows dirt paths and natural trails, among others. Some sections may be difficult to access with a pushchair.

If you are participating with young children, remember to bring equipment suited to the terrain. Due to the nature of the paths and the terrain, the route may also be difficult for people with significant mobility difficulties.

For safety reasons, the pathways used for the races are marked out and reserved for the event during the morning. Visiting the ZooParc is therefore not possible before 2:00 pm.

Spectators are invited to respect the marked-out zones and the organisation’s instructions in order to ensure the smooth running of the events and the safety of all. The Breizh Asia is an untimed event with no rankings, held in the spirit of sport, conviviality and solidarity.

Each participant remains responsible for their own safety and must be covered by their personal insurance. For any questions regarding access conditions or the specificities of the routes, the ZooParc team remains at your disposal.
